    PAPHOS - MYSTERY OF THE CITY OF APHRODITE. Archaeological heritage versus new technologies

The Paphos Agora Project team of the Department of Classical Archeology, Institute of Archeology of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków is the leader of the event. Cooperating institutions are: the Department of Antiquities of Cyprus, AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, University of Hamburg, University of J. Kochanowski in Kielce, Warsaw University of Technology, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and The Interacademic Institute of Conservation and Restoration of Art. Our activities are under the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nicosia.

It is a Polish-English popular science book of the authors from Poland, Cyprus and Germany actively involved in the discovery, preservation and promotion of the archaeological heritage. The texts and illustrative material have been prepared in such a way as to bring closer to a wide audience, as well as to the professionals, the use of new technologies in the preservation and interpretation of the archaeological heritage. The promotion of a publication will take place both in Krakow and in Cyprus.

The funding was provided by the City Council of Krakow and the publisher is the Archaeologica Foundation. The event under the patronage of the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018.
